Tomorrow is our UPS Awards. The program starts promptly at 1:00 p.m.
Wednesday, both Division I and II are swimming. Bring what you need. Also, start taking home things you do not need at school any more. Everything must be taken home so make sure you have enough room in your backpacks to carry it all.

Math - have done for Monday, the fraction page of the Theoretical Probability booklet, and use the one spinner on the spinner page for the Explore in Experimental Probability. Study the Explore and Connect in Experimental Probability and write the notes about it and the equation. Be ready for the assignment on Monday and Tuesday. Have your work done for Monday. Class time is running out and there is a test on Thursday.
Science - planets - booklet pages 27, 28 29 for Monday and your final exam in on Friday, June 22nd.
French Portraits must be done for Tuesday, 9:00 a.m.
If you have missed classes and need to make up work, you will need to come early, work at your recesses and you may have to forego swimming on the 19th in order to be ready for your tests.

Math - complete corrections in the previous work. Do page 269 and 270 - for Tuesday you should have completed the graphs for questions 1,2 & 4. During class tomorrow you should complete the step by step 5 which is questions 3 and 5 (b) if you do not have pennies at home to do. Make sure you do that experiment about 25 to 30 tosses to get an accurate sampling of results.

5/6 Class trip is scheduled for tomorrow. Please come prepared to be outside for the day with proper footwear and clothing. Bring a good, healthy lunch that will "keep" in the heat and lots of water. Other outdoor essentials, as we have discussed and was in the letter sent home last week.
Also, bring your best attitude and manners. You are representing UPS.

Grade 6 class trip to Luseland Bible Camp is on Wednesday, June 6th. Please come prepared for whatever the weather and lots of activity. No flip flops, sandals, short shorts or skinny tops. Make sure you are able to participate in all activities at a high level and that your choice of clothing is not a reason to be unable to participate.
You will need a good, healthy bagged lunch, lots of water, sunscreen, hat, helmet, bug spray. If you choose to bring electronics, you are completely responsible for those items and must keep them with you, yourself.
We will be leaving by 8:45, so be here on time to make sure everyone has what they need.

There is an amazingly short period of time before the end of the year and an amazingly long list of educational concepts that still need to be covered - so everyone - hang in there, stay focused and work hard.
Social - Help organizations reports are due tomorrow - April 17th.
Science - Flight reports are due April 17th, as well.
Art - "cat" enlargements are to be done for tomorrow - April 17th. And, make sure you bring a small picture you want to use for an enlargement for your final enlarging art project. I will have some available if you cannot find something to use.

It's been another "moving" day. Grade sixes have been moved out of and back into their classroom. The new paint on the walls, the new lights and suspended ceiling make the room look so much brighter and quieter. Look for a new seating arrangement.
Math Unit test is tomorrow. Know your angles and measurements. Next unit starting right after the Easter break will be a continuation of Geometry.

Be sure to wear pink tomorrow to show that we will not tolerate bullying.

Math - Strategies Toolkit - study the concepts of how to check your work and do both questions 1 & 2 on page 145. Then, study the Explore and Connect in Investigating Angles in a Triangle. Do the activity with the triangle drawing on page 146 to make sure you understand the concept. Then complete questions 1 to 6 for Monday.

The angles review booklet is due tomorrow morning before you leave for skiing. Anyone not handing it in on time will be losing Friday privileges - recess, noon and being in the gym for our assembly. It's time to be responsible and do your best work.

School Tees orders are to be in on Friday, March 23rd. You have had three weeks, so there is no need to delay it any longer.
Math - the Angles Review booklet is due by the end of tomorrow, or, at the latest, Thursday morning before you leave on the ski trip.
Science - Communicate page 165 #1 to 4 for next class.
If you are curling tomorrow, bring a lunch as the booth may not be open when you have time to eat.
Ski Trip is on Thursday - the bus leaves at 8:00 sharp. Do not be late. It will leave without you.

Book Orders went home for Grade 6's today. Special deal - order from any book order from Mrs. Soloski and receive a $4.99 book certificate toward the price. Offer good until the last book order in the end of May. Not good for Book Fair items.
Science - Communicate questions #1 to 4 page 114 for Monday.
Health to be done for Day 5 (Wednesday) the Milk Products fill in the blanks page and the Invention of Ice Cream questions.
Math Cumulative Review questions are due for Monday (noon). No extensions.
New Math unit - Ratio, Fractions and Percent starts on Tuesday.

Reading Night tonight. Come from 7 until 8 and listen to author Ann Campbell read. There will be other guest readers and hot chocolate and cookies. Check out the UPS website for further details.
Math - work on the Cumulative Review pages 122 and 123. Try to have the first page of questions finished for tomorrow. You will have some class time Friday. You may work through Art class on Monday, but the questions must be finished neatly, well organized and accurate for noon on Monday. There will be no extensions. Manage your time. This is like an open book test and it will be marked as such and the results will be part of your Term 2 Report Card.
French - Commander sheet is due on Friday, Jan. 27th.

Health duotangs and ingredient/nutrient labels definitions were due on Tuesday. Many of you did not have it completed, so your attendance at the Assembly tomorrow will depend on you making sure that your work is completely finished. Remember "handing it in is not = to having completed the required assignments.
Be sure that your name is also not on Mrs. David's UOHer list.

Have completed for tomorrow - Strategies Toolkit #1 and 2 and Show What You Know questions 1, 4, & 5. These will help you prepare for Thursday's exam.
Science - get notes off charts.
Assignments owed to Mrs. David must be in by the end of classes on Wednesday.
Health - duotang pages completed to the end of The Four Food Groups and You page 18. Just before the pages titled Fabulous Food! Plus, hand in your looseleaf with your nutrient and ingredient labels with the definitions of which words you do not know.

Tuesday is the Problem Solving Math Test. Study the problem solving we have done in this unit.
Keep track of the changes in the weather so that you are appropriately dressed for outside recesses.
