We spent a part of the day in "clean up".
We had a wonderful Awards afternoon and grade 6 farewell/grad.
We are looking for a few books that belong to the classroom library: Book #45 - Summer Ball,
# 92 - That's a Good Question, Canada and #103 Starting with Alice. Please check for these so that our book rack is complete for next year. I am glad to see students enjoying the selections from that book rack, though.
If you still have quite a lot of possessions here at the school bring an extra bag so that you can take it all home on Tuesday. Do not leave things behind. The "lost and found" in the main hallway is fairly extensive. Be sure to take your things. Also, check the boot racks for footwear that is yours and take it with you.
Tomorrow there is swimming - so come prepared.
You may pick up report cards on Friday morning. I hope to see all of you then so that I can wish you well in grade 7, in person.
I will blog again on Friday.

Just a few reminders:
The BBQ hamburger or hotdog lunch is tomorrow for those of you who ordered.
Social Studies - Unit Test on Thursday on Canada's Links to the World - study, please.
Science Test on Friday, June 19th.
Math - make sure pages are completed up to p. 105 (questions #1 only on p. 105).
The Grade 6 Graduation and Awards afternoon is on Monday, June 22, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Students need to start to take home supplies that they did not use this year and can use next year. If they start to take a few extra things each day, then Monday and Tuesday will not be so heavy!!
Hang in there - the end is near!
P.S. We had a wonderful class trip to Drumheller. I am so glad that I was able to go.
See ya on Thursday.

Day 5 - Monday, June 8, 2009
Hooray!! The CAT-3 testing is finished for the grade 6 class.
Science experiments are due tomorrow and Wednesday.
Math - the double bar graph needs to be finished (page 71).
Please bring small bottle caps or toothpaste tube caps for Math next week.
There is Craft Club tomorrow after school.
You need ball gloves for gym on Tuesday, the 9th.
Students may purchase the Relay for Life "Fight Back" gloves for $1.00 this week.
And...........grade 6's need to provide Miss Riddell with a baby photograph of themselves to be included in the slide show presentation by Wednesday of this week. Miss Riddell advised that all students must provide one or none will be included in the show.
To accommodate Mrs. Soloski's teaching time in Wilkie, there is a day switch so that Wednesday is Day 2 and Thursday is Day 1, then Friday is Day 3. That way I can be on UPS days for our class trip.
That's all for now. I will be back at UPS on Thursday morning to leave on our trip.
See you then :)

Day 1 - Tuesday, June 2, 2009
Hello,
Well, we had an interesting day with a play performance, followed by an assembly, CAT 3 testing in Lang. Arts, the grade 6 tour at UCHS, lunch, the movie Earth and then home.
Remember to try to bring toothpaste tube caps or a lid similar to that for Math, and there were BBQ lunch forms sent home today.
CAT testing continues on Thursday and Monday. It is so important to be here for those, as it is very difficult to catch them up, but they must be caught up. We have a deadline to be finished by June 10th.
We are on the home stretch. Hang in there.
